The Camp Events was founded by actor and artist Oscar Rodriguez iii (The Walking Dead, Zombieland 2), his wife Casey Miller, and Actor Jake Kearney (The Walking Dead, Lore) in 2019 with their first event for free at Marimac Lake Park in Senoia, GA celebrating all things The Walking Dead. That event gradually grew into The Camp, a well known Walking Dead specific convention bringing guests like Chandler Riggs (Carl on TWD), Josh McDermitt (Eugene on TWD), Lennie James (Morgan on TWD), and over 100 others to The Camp over the years. The event has increased in popularity even after The Walking Dead ended due to the intimacy and specialized events that are offered. The Camp has had many small group events with celebrities like wine tastings, meals, art classes, escape rooms, and so much more. The Special Events The Camp Events offers really brings attendees and celebrities back every year for an incredible weekend together!

In 2024 The Camp Events will hold their tenth event focused around The Walking Dead and with growing popularity of their events, the event organizers have decided to branch out into new waters. Scream City Horror Convention is the first Camp Event that is focused around the horror genre in general. Actors, their managers, and fans all have suggested that The Camp Events host more events and this was the next logical step in the companies road map. Scream City will feature all of the best parts about The Camp, including meet and greets, selfies, autographs, photo ops, vendors, panels, and yes, we couldn’t forget special events! Scream City Horror Convention will grace the oldest (and most haunted) city in America, St. Augustine, FL March 22 & 23, 2025.
